A cornerstone of American literary modernism, first published in 1925 and long considered one of Williams's most ambitious prose works. This is the second printing of the New Directions Paperbook edition (first issued 1956), with an introduction by Horace Gregory. The iconic cover photograph is by R. Johnson.
